The Smiling Man is an entity that wandered on Roblox between 2006 to 2010. His behavior is unknown, but it varies depending on the map he’s lurking in. His appearance is a red humanoid with a weird smile similar to player faces back then.

Some notable aggressiveness has been recorded on Santa's Winter Stronghold and Chaos Canyon. He is peaceful on Crossroads and Glass Houses, but it’s NOT recommended approaching him.
Behavior & Abilities
Users say his behavior is based on memories he had with these games. Some say they interacted with him and nothing happened, but this is unlikely since no verified recordings exist.
What made users afraid of him is his ability to shut down their client and open random pages on the web. These pages often include:
- Graphic content
- Eye-straining footage
- Distorted images
- Weird videos on YouTube
Luckily, these didn’t actually affect users back then, probably because Roblox was small.
Disappearance
The Smiling Man stopped manifesting in March 2010, or at least this was the last recorded appearance. Most likely Roblox staff deleted him from the database, though the exact reason is unknown.
